The Hottest Non Surgical Doctor in Belgravia

If you think that treatments these days are only coming in the form of injections and operations under the knife, think again! Dr. Rabia Malik is, well, a real practicing doctor trying to bridge the gap between conventional treatments and surgical procedures. So I met up with her in the flesh at Grace Belgravia to talk about life, and of course, most importantly, her tricks of the trade.

What she normally treats:

“Most of my clients either come to me to treat acne, hyper pigmentation or to smooth lines and wrinkles. But providing anti-ageing nutrition information is really where my passion lies.”

How she started:

“I’m a GP by trade and graduated from King’s College.  After graduation I really had a special interest in skin and completed an attachment in dermatology at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital, in the USA. Since then, I wanted to start my own practice, and did so in 2011, where I specifically take care of Aesthetic Medicine.”

The technique:

“I really enjoy creating bespoke skin care solutions for my clients. I examine their skin and can really tell where the damage lies. It comes down to what you eat and lifestyle choices and it always shows up on your face. I even design dietary supplements in form of powders and tablets that help and prevent anti-ageing."

Her favourite skincare to use:

“I use a US brand from California called Skin Therapy by Julia T. Hunder MD. I think her cleanser is really fabulous, however the peels also show immediate results. I use them at Grace, Belgravia to do all of my facials treatments. ”

What she swears by:

“ Your skin needs to be protected by the sun. This is what I am constantly reminding my clients. The biggest cause of skin aging is going into the sun without at least a sunscreen with as high as SPF 50. This really needs to be used daily, even in winter, when it’s not sunny. Believe me, the sun is still there! I never leave the house without Epionce’s Ulta Sheild Lotion SPF 50.”
